Problem
Academic writing is a source of significant difficulty and stress for university students. Although fundamental, students are not formally taught academic writing skills at university. The National Student Survey (NSS) results of 2021 reveal that around 40-45% of students from leading UK universities feel that ‘they have not received helpful feedback on their work’.
Solution
University students need an active platform that provides access to timely, clear & tailored feedback that enables continual learning. The PhD community is an untapped resource, working silently within universities. Thus, we are the first to connect PhD researchers to students that need support by providing guided peer-to-peer learning.
